Heat Shrink Tubing Common Specifications and Parameters Table
FEP Heat Shrink Tubing is a high-performance protective material extruded from Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP), a premium fluoropolymer with excellent thermal, chemical and electrical properties. Activated by heat (around 180ºC), it shrinks uniformly in radial direction to tightly wrap wires, cables, connectors and electronic components, forming a seamless protective layer without harmful gas emission. Compared with ordinary heat shrink tubing (e.g. PVC, PE types), it stands out with superior performance and adapts to various harsh working conditions, and is widely used in high-end and precision application fields where conventional tubing cannot meet the requirements.
FEP Heat Shrink Tubing has been widely applied in electronics & electrical, chemical engineering, medical care, aerospace, new energy and automotive electronics industries. In electronics, it is used for insulation protection of precision components, solder joint inspection and wire harness identification by virtue of high transparency; in chemical and medical fields, it serves as a protective sleeve for sensors and probes due to its strong chemical corrosion resistance and biocompatibility (supporting high-temperature steam sterilization); in aerospace and new energy vehicles, it is an ideal choice for high-voltage cable and battery pack protection for its extreme temperature resistance and flame retardancy; it is also used for optical fiber and UV bulb encapsulation thanks to its UV resistance and low friction coefficient.

Compared with ordinary heat shrink tubing, FEP Heat Shrink Tubing has unparalleled core advantages:
 
  1. Extreme temperature resistance: It can work stably for a long time in the range of -80ºC to 200ºC, far exceeding the temperature tolerance of PVC/PE tubing, and is not easy to deform or brittle in extreme cold and heat.
  2. Super chemical corrosion resistance: It resists erosion of almost all industrial chemicals including strong acids, alkalis and organic solvents, while ordinary tubing is easy to age and damage in corrosive environments.
  3. Excellent electrical insulation: With low dielectric constant, high dielectric strength and stable insulation performance in a wide temperature range, it effectively prevents current leakage and signal interference, and is more suitable for high-voltage and precision electronic systems than ordinary tubing.
  4. High transparency & non-stick property: Its high light transmittance allows direct observation of the internal state of protected components (e.g. solder joint quality), and the smooth non-stick surface is not easy to adhere to dirt and easy to clean, while ordinary opaque tubing cannot realize visual inspection.
  5. Reliable safety performance: It meets UL94 V-0 flame retardant grade, with low outgassing and no toxic smoke release in case of fire; it also has good mechanical strength, wear resistance and aging resistance, and its service life is much longer than ordinary heat shrink tubing.
  6. Environmental & process compatibility: It complies with RoHS, FDA and ISO 10993 standards, is suitable for medical and food-related fields, and has a stable shrink ratio (1.3:1~1.8:1) with uniform shrinkage, no stress concentration, and can fit complex and irregular component shapes perfectly.
